Hey Folks,
I've been toying around with a few different ways of holding the game since I read Daniel Noteboom's Feature.
Because of the type of work I do with studying the game, I often find myself playing with my fingers in the position to take screen caps. Ironically enough, I've found this to be a great way to harness motion of the game.
My left hand stays in the bottom left of the Iphone. My right hand sits cradling the top right corner. In order to move the Doodler, I move the Iphone along the axis between these two corners. I find when I just hold it missionary style, with both hands on the sides, I move him too much. By moving it in the way i described above, I have more control over where he lands.
To move him left, I tilt the game to left left, but also slowly dip the top left corner down, raising the bottom right corner. To move right, I dip the bottom right corner down, slightly raising the top left. While moving it up or down doesn't really affect how the Doodler moves, it allows me to not move him so fast I miss platforms.
Just a thought! How do you play?
